Reids Plant Solicitors was established in 1977 as M.A. Plant by Margaret Plant. A specialist in residential conveyancing, she wanted greater flexibility and a progressive approach to her working environment. Carol Reid joined her in 1985 and Anne Reid in September 2008.
With the case of O'Neill v Phillips in 1999 managed by Carol Reid, Reids Plant Solicitors made legal history in the House of Lords. This also earned us recognition in the national law reports and the Law Gazette. In addition to sparking debate between the DTI and the Law Commission, this case also led to a new Companies Act being passed in 2002.
